How Does the Barcelona Elite Actually Work
Far infrared heaters warm your body directly instead of heating all the air around you first, which lets the Barcelona Elite deliver a full sauna session at a lower, more comfortable air temperature than a traditional steam sauna.
The Barcelona Elite uses 6 Ultra Low EMF FAR infrared carbon panels for a combined 1,600 watts: two on the rear wall, one on the left wall, one on the right wall, one beneath the bench, and one built into the floor. That floor heater is something most compact saunas skip, and it means your feet get direct heat too, not just ambient warmth.
Barcelona Elite vs Standard Barcelona, What's Actually Different
The complete model number is what actually separates these two saunas, not the product name.
The DYN-6106-01 Elite (this sauna) uses the same 6-panel, 1,600-watt layout as the standard Barcelona, but with Ultra Low EMF panels rated 3–5 mG at about two inches from the panel. The DYN-6106-01 uses the same layout with Low EMF panels rated 5–10 mG at the same distance. Dimensions, the floor heater, and every other feature are identical between the two.
Choose the Elite when a lower EMF panel rating matters more to you than price. Choose the standard DYN-6106-01 if price is the priority.
What Does Ultra Low EMF Actually Mean
An electromagnetic field, or EMF, is produced any time electrical current runs through powered equipment. Infrared sauna heaters naturally generate some EMF while they're on.
Dynamic classifies its sauna heaters by manufacturer-measured EMF range: Low EMF is generally 5 to 10 mG at about two inches, and Ultra Low EMF is generally 3 to 5 mG at about two inches.
The Barcelona Elite's carbon panels fall in the Ultra Low EMF range. Ultra Low EMF does not mean zero EMF, and readings generally drop off the further you sit from a panel.
What Results Can You Actually Expect
Regular sauna use may support relaxation, help you unwind after a long day, and offer temporary relief from everyday muscle tension. How much you perspire and how you feel afterward depends on your session length, temperature setting, hydration, and personal tolerance.

Pregnant individuals and anyone with heart disease, blood pressure concerns, circulatory conditions, or another medical condition should consult a healthcare provider before use. Do not use after drinking alcohol or taking medication that causes drowsiness. Never sleep inside the sauna. After 3 hours of continuous use, turn it off and let it cool for at least 1 hour.
Unplug before cleaning. Wipe the interior with plain water and a soft, damp cloth only, no chemical cleaners, alcohol, or aerosols. This product is intended for adults 18 and older.

Is this the standard Barcelona?
No. This is the Elite Ultra Low EMF version, rated 3–5 mG. The standard DYN-6106-01 uses Low EMF panels rated 5–10 mG at the same distance, with the same 1,600-watt, 6-panel layout.
Is this really big enough for one person, or is it too small?
The interior is 36" wide by 32" deep, sized to be genuinely comfortable for one person with room to fit two for shorter sessions. If daily two-person use is the priority, a larger 2-person model may suit you better.
Does this sauna have a floor heater?
Yes. In addition to the rear, side, and bench panels, the Barcelona Elite includes a dedicated 200-watt floor heater, which most compact saunas in this category don't have.
How long does it take to heat up?
From a starting room temperature above 70°F, expect roughly 20 minutes to reach 100°F and about 25 to 30 minutes to reach the 115–120°F range. Colder starting rooms will take longer.
Does this need a special electrical outlet?
It requires a dedicated 120V, 15 amp non-GFCI circuit. It does not require 220V, but the circuit does need to be dedicated and cannot be GFCI-protected.
How long does it take to assemble?
Two adults are required. Panels connect with a clasp-together system with guide inserts, and the only tools needed are a Phillips screwdriver and a ladder.
Can this sauna go on carpet?
Yes, the Barcelona Elite can be installed on carpet or any indoor location, provided the surface is dry, level, and stable.
