How Does the Heming Actually Work
The Heming uses FAR infrared carbon heating panels to warm your body directly, instead of heating the air around you the way a traditional steam sauna does. That's why it only needs to run up to 140°F to be effective, compared to the 190°F or higher a traditional sauna needs, so it's easier to breathe and easier to tolerate a full session in.
Seven panels work together to cover the space evenly, four in the walls, one in the bench, and two in the floor, so the heat reaches you from multiple directions instead of just one side.
What Does Low EMF Actually Mean
Every electric heating panel produces an electromagnetic field, it's a normal byproduct of how electricity works, not something unique to saunas. The Heming's panels measure between 5 and 10 mG at 2 to 3 inches from the panel itself, the closest and most conservative distance you'd ever actually be to it.
The international guideline for continuous public exposure to this type of electromagnetic field, set by ICNIRP, is 1,000 mG. That puts the Heming's panels somewhere between 100 and 200 times below that guideline, even measured at the closest possible range. Long-term research on low-level exposure is still ongoing, and no government body, including OSHA, has set a required exposure limit for it, but the mainstream scientific evidence to date does not point to a short or long term health hazard from this level of exposure.
