It combines 5 far infrared carbon heating panels with 2 near infrared heating elements, so you get near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths in the same session, in the same 2-person cabin, on the same standard 120V household circuit.

How Does the Santiago Full Spectrum Actually Work
Far infrared heaters warm your body directly instead of heating all the air around you first, which is why an infrared sauna can deliver a full session at a lower air temperature than a traditional steam sauna. Near infrared works differently: it operates closer to the skin's surface rather than penetrating as deep.
The Santiago FS uses 7 heaters for a combined 1,700 watts: 5 far infrared carbon panels (two on the left wall, two on the right wall, one beneath the bench) plus 2 near infrared heating elements on the rear wall. The heaters work together during a session, there's no need to switch between wavelength modes.
Santiago Full Spectrum vs Santiago vs Santiago Elite, What's Actually Different
The complete model number is what actually separates these saunas, not the product name.
The DYN-6209-03 FS (this sauna) replaces two of the seven far infrared panels with near infrared heating elements, adding near and mid infrared wavelengths on top of far infrared. The DYN-6209-01 and DYN-6209-02 Elite use all 7 panels for far infrared only, differing from each other only in EMF rating (Low EMF vs Ultra Low EMF).
Choose the Full Spectrum if broader infrared wavelength coverage matters more to you than price. Choose the standard DYN-6209-01 or the Elite if you only want far infrared heat and prefer to compare on EMF rating and price instead.
What Does Near Zero EMF Mean, and What About the Near Infrared Heaters
An electromagnetic field, or EMF, is produced any time electrical current runs through powered equipment. The Santiago FS uses two different heater types, and they don't carry the same EMF rating.
The 5 far infrared carbon panels are rated under 3 mG at about two inches from the panel, Dynamic's Near Zero EMF tier. The 2 near infrared heating elements run higher, at approximately 5 to 7 mG at the same distance. Near Zero EMF describes the carbon panels specifically, not the cabin as a whole, and it does not mean zero EMF from either heater type.
What Results Can You Actually Expect
Regular sauna use may support relaxation, help you unwind after a long day, and offer temporary relief from everyday muscle tension. How much you perspire and how you feel afterward depends on your session length, temperature setting, hydration, and personal tolerance.

This sauna is for indoor use only. Exit immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, weak, overheated, or otherwise uncomfortable. Drink water before, during, and after your session.
Requires a dedicated 120V, 15 amp non-GFCI circuit. Do not use an extension cord, power strip, or wall adapter between the sauna and the outlet. Pregnant individuals and anyone with heart disease, blood pressure concerns, circulatory conditions, or another medical condition should consult a healthcare provider before use. Do not use after drinking alcohol or taking medication that causes drowsiness. Never sleep inside the sauna. After 3 hours of continuous use, turn it off and let it cool for at least 1 hour.
Unplug before cleaning. Wipe the interior with plain water and a soft, damp cloth only, no chemical cleaners, alcohol, or aerosols. This product is intended for adults 18 and older.

No. The DYN-6209-02 Elite also uses far infrared only, across all 7 panels, with a lower EMF rating than the DYN-6209-01. Neither has near infrared elements.

Does this need a special electrical outlet?
It requires a dedicated 120V, 15 amp non-GFCI circuit. It does not require 220V, but the circuit does need to be dedicated, meaning no other appliance should run on the same breaker while it's on.
