How Does a Traditional Sauna Actually Work
A traditional sauna heats the air around you instead of heating your body directly the way an infrared sauna does. The Osla's 8.0kW electric stove heats a bed of sauna rocks inside the cabin.
Pour water from the included bucket over those rocks with the scoop whenever you want a steam boost, the classic löyly experience. The wall panels assemble by screwing together at pre-drilled holes rather than a clip-together system, which is why a claw hammer and leveler are part of the tool list. The LED touch control panel manages the interior light and backrest accent light on one button, and the chromotherapy light and galaxy star ceiling lighting on the other, plus Bluetooth or FM audio, all from inside the cabin.

The Osla is a pure traditional sauna, an electric stove heating sauna rocks, nothing else. Golden Designs also sells hybrid saunas like the Toledo, which include both a Harvia stove and infrared heating panels in the same cabin, though only one heat source runs at a time, not both together. If you want the classic steam and löyly experience, the Osla is the one. If you want the option to switch between stove heat and infrared heat in the same unit, that's the Toledo.

Exit the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, sleepy, or any discomfort. Use the sauna within a comfortable range up to 190°F. Never sleep inside the sauna.
The stove must be installed by a certified, licensed electrician on its own dedicated circuit. Consult a physician before use if you are pregnant or possibly pregnant, or if you have a medical condition such as heart disease or high or low blood pressure. Do not use the sauna after alcohol or drugs, or while on medications that cause drowsiness.
